Reedsy Discovery Book Review – Building The Beast: How (Not) To Build An Overland Camper

Building The Beast a graphic which shows the Reedsy Discovery review of the book with the text 'Loved it. Delightful, humorous and filled with vivid imagery, this book is a gem.' and a few more review quotes

I submitted my latest memoir, Building The Beast: How (Not) To Build An Overland Camper to Reedsy Discovery, a platform for discovering, reviewing, and discussing books.

I suppose a memoir about building your own overland truck camper is quite a niche read, so it took a while for a reviewer to pick it up, but it finally returned a STONKING 4* review packed with enthusiasm and quotable quotes.

I feel very validated and it has encouraged me to pick up on finishing the sequel, More Manchester Than Mongolia, which the reviewer is anxious to read!

Did I mention, Building The Beast has also been awarded a Readers’ Favorite 5* Seal and is a finalist in the memoir section of the Page Turner Awards 2024? Click HERE to read the Readers’ Favorite review.
